I guess it all comes down to the comfort zone theory. If a GPF Soldier submits the idea, then it must be doctrinally sound...if a SOF Soldier submits the idea, it a a hare-brained, loose cannon, shoot 'em up cowboy scheme. Personally, I don't care who submits the idea, but I do care if we let pride prevent us from implementing the idea quickly and effectively. I know how to change the clutch in my car...doesn't mean that I am not going to let a professional mechanic do it faster and more effectively.
