That's the truth right there. Made sure mine was up and running, when the storm came roaring in.
Very easy to over look this little device, and IMO, I think a C.M. detector is just a weeee bit more important than a smoke detector. As the LawDog above stated, C.M. is a "Silent Killer". You don't really know you;re suffering from C.M. poisoning until it's too late.
Along with a smoke detector, get yourself a Carbon Monoxide detector too, and check BOTH at the same time.
