Whether or not one agrees with the US method of one year tours, it is far superior to the enemy whom we face. They wanna die for their cause? Good, our troops will be more than willing to assist them.
US troops go the fight, kick ass, come home, and are replaced by fighters that will continue to kick ass. Just like Vietnam (which we won, by the way).
