I live in the woods Soooooooooooooooooo, you folks actually have "seasons". That is an interesting concept. Does it really work
Ditto here. My Deer season starts when it gets cold and ends when it warms up. Which is very convenient when you factor in being deployed during the legal season. Two hundred Meter walk out the Back Door and I am in my stand. I will be home in two weeks. I have my kid throwing out deer corn every morning for the last three weeks. He says every time he walks down there he spooks a bunch of Deer. This will be his first year hunting. Can't wait until he gets his first Deer. He is nine and a good shot but I think I will have him use a shotgun from the Deer Stand.. Don't want him to miss on his first opportunity. He keeps asking to hunt with my M-4, next it will be a grenade. Last year I set up one of those digital motion sensor cameras. They are great for telling you feeding time. Where I live they mostly feed mid afternoon. Just walk down there with the Lap Top and connect it and see whats been in the area. Anyone ever hunt with .223 and if so what type of round did you use.
