After living in N.TX for many years, the first question is, what winter? What months are you going to be out? Jan-Feb are the 'worst' and light polypro with normal duty uniform and gore-tex is going to be great if you're not on a hide site (not warm enough), or are not moving too much (too warm). where are you going to be - hill country, or open plain. Lots of little things go into uniform selection, especially there in N. TX - could be 80 one day and 25 the next...
