Yes, he was Roger Donlons Team Sergeant of A-726 and a DSC recipient for his actions at Nam Dong on July 6 1964. Sadly he was also KIA during those actions. He also served with the 82nd during WWII (he enlisted prior to WWII) as well he served in the Korean war.
SGT John Houston was also KIA during the action.
