Thanks. This sort of reminds me of a conversation where my wife was trying real hard not to be the newbie. I was a brand new 2LT and we were in Germany on our first assignment. We were sitting in the company commander's quarters having dinner with the other platoon leaders and wives when the following "army speak" began": " Six (Company Cdr's call sign) we were out on the Tango Tango (tank trail) when that Dragon Wagon (flat bed hauling a disabled tank) fliped. We spliced into some WD-1 (commo wire) to try making commo by Lima Lima (land line) but had to catch a ride back to the compound on a duece and a half (2 1/2 ton truck). Well my wife had absolutely no clue what was being said and I could see she was getting a little uncomfortable. Being the trooper she was, and because nothing about this conversation required her to do anything, she sat there like an old pro, calmly smiled and nodded her head determined not to show anything but composure and then it happened. The company commander's wife looked right at her and said, "So do you have a POV yet?" Knowing full well she had no clue what those initials meant, but damned if she was going to be considered the village idiot, she replied, "No, we only have a VW". Today she knows that ANGUS is not just the name of one of our dogs. but also an initial entry report
