Glad you want to be deliberate about your preparation for SF...food for thought...recommend you go to SFAS after a year or two in the airborne if that's the way you want to go...but NOT go to Ranger School until after SFQC...

Why?

Most units require you to stay with them for 1-2 years after completing Ranger School. By then you'll have 4-5 years in the Army...and still have the entire SF Pipeline in front of you. Would recommend going to Ranger School after completing SFQC (at first opportunity, without missing a unit deployment).
