Saw a report on this "new" Active Protection System (APS) for vehicles. A real working Force field!! It's possible that, U.S. armored vehicles, including infantry fighting vehicles/armored personnel carriers (IFV/APC) and main battle tanks (MBT), could possible be receiving a new type of anti-RPG/ATGM (Rocket Propelled Grenade/Anti-Tank Guided Missile) Active Protection System. Seems that an Israeli company has developed this APS -

If this systems is better deployed; I say this because from a FOX News report, TROPHY was tested within the USA and had two successful "protection" of vehicles. But it didn't say how many failures there were. But this is a Great system - Way I see it, it show that the idea can work.
RPGs and ATGM all use a PIBD Peizo-electic fuze system. So with the right "energy" you could "over-ride" the Fuze and make it function. Smart thinking, give it to the Israeli's to come up with it.
