My buddy is EMT-B certified and was selected as a Charlie and not Delta. Needs of the Army bro, just do the best you can on those tests they administer during selection and put 18D as your first choice on your "dream sheet".
As far as your lapsed EMT cert goes.... if you do get selected as an 18D you retake it during Trauma in Phase III so that you can ride with the paramedics on rotations. Good luck.
