This is a nice forum you all have here! Glad I found it.
A little history and info about myself. After high school I looked at joining the military. My parents told me to go to college so I did. Got to respect the rents. At PSU I studied Mechanical Engineering and did some ROTC. It was just starting there at the time so it was very informal but I like doing the PT. When I graduated the guy running the show wasn't of much use in showing me what the Army had to offer so I took a job in weapons design. As part of the job they sent me to get my Masters in Energetic Materials i.e. explosives. Well, I have about 20 more pages left to write on my paper but it's as good as done. In my classes I had a few former SF guys who I studied with. That’s when I realized that there are some cool jobs and very motivated individuals like myself in the Army. So now I'm in the process of "making the dumbest decision of my life,” so says the entire family
, and going 18x. I refuse to be one of those guys that when they turn 60 wishes he had tried. Anyway, I've researched the topic a long time now but still have stuff to learn before going and hope this forum will provide the answers.
