Good movie

I saw this movie when it came out and recently purchased the DVD. If you have not already watched it, I would recommend the Cinderalla Man. It stars Russell Crowe and Rene Zellweger. The movie is based on the true story of James J. Braddock which took place during the Great Depression.

Even if you're not a boxing fan, the reality of the Great Drepression as depicted in the movie is worth the price of renting or buying the DVD. My economics teacher would always use the depression to explain the concept of "constant dollars". "During the Great Depression you could buy a t-bone steak for a dime. " It's hard for us today to imagine what it was like and the amount of suffering which took place. This movie goes a long way to show it and the character displayed by the American people.

By the way, they say Babe Ruth made $130,000.00 in 1930. Anyway, I've watched the movie a few times now, and it just keeps getting better.
