If you decide to use one of the free online tools start at the above link and except any cookies as you go into the provider's site. For most active duty military I would highly recommend the Turbo Tax offering!

If you access the TurboTax website through www.militaryonesource.com you can use the basic & intermediate software version and file your taxes for free.

Unless you really need a lot of help/advice while preparing the basic version is fine.
