A couple weeks ago I learned that adding more electricity to a computer does not make it run faster and when smoke comes out of the box that's a good indication that it may not run much longer.


They don't make those hardrives and RAM sticks like they used to.

I'm back up and running again....:D

Great line! I use it quite frequently, and you'd be surprised at how many people have no idea what I'm talking about.

Mr. H, if it makes you feel any better, my youngest turned on the power to his radio/CD player yesterday when we got home, and it chirped once before smoke rose from the back. Less than 9 months old, and the internal transformer crapped the bed.
