Flags?

The flag code called for the union to be in the upper left corner. With flags being put in different places people started to notice that it was sometimes flying the wrong way. They started to produce flags both ways so that depending on if you wore it on your left or right arm the union would be in the upper left or right corner and "flying" as you moved.

This has upset some of the purists out there.

Anyway, it could be as simple as "Hey, you're missing your flag. Sew this one on." "But Sarge, it's...." "I said sew it on." :D

Dan 07-31-2005 14:58

If the flag is worn on the sleeve it is always to be worn with the union forward to look like it's flying in the wind blowing from the front. This is why you will find the flags made both ways.

Most of the flags have velcro on the back and slapped on not sewed on.

Pic #2 of Mr. Anonymous

Why is he wearing 2 flags, and why is 1 black-and-white and tilted, and why is the one on his chest not reversed?

Why do his magazines angle-off when the carriers don't? (do the magazines?)

Thanks Kyobanim for the post.

FrontSight

You sillivillians sure ask a lot of questions.

Recognition.

Subdued, IR and NVG visible. Tilted because of Velrco, and it is better in SF to be good than to look good (curious XXs take note).

Because that is the one he had. Do you think this is a fashion show, or combat?

Because as TS already noted, 30 round M-16 mags are curved, as are AK mags. The carrier needs to work for right and left handers. Do you not have an M-4 of your own to have and hold, feed and care for?

Pete

Thanks Pete! I think that was what Sir Razor said at one point.

That was my guess for the black and white version - that it blended in better with the camo. But I had not seen a B&W version ever before.
