No judgement passing should be inferred. I'm thrilled the cop was able to do what he did.

I am just asking a basic question - what was the context.
In other words: What led up to everyone being positioned as they were.

My guess regarding the context...........The cop was intentionally positioned in plain clothes and in nonchalant posture awaiting the best time to use his skill.

That might be a reach and everything could have been impromptu as there did not appear to be any less than lethal weapons deployed, such as sock round, bean bag, etc.

But regardless it is one heck of a great job!

Interesting question. I just watched the video several times, watching his body language. He's setting himself up for the short distance. Looks like he sortof shuffles his feet in preparation.

No way to tell if he's left or right.
