Field Pain Management

Time for a new thread.......
What opioids (narcotics with a politically correct term) are now being carried around the world and what is the teaching in terms of dose, dosing interval, max. doses, etc?
I have my own opinions that may go against SOP but a discussion on pain management in the field can be educational none-the-less.

In Sweden Morphine and Ketamine the number one choice. I would like to have a opioid as Alfentanil as a complement for short painful procedures but our military havent bought it yet. I am a strong beliver in ketamine for pain managment in field conditions and thind that is fare more versitale than opoids for military use.

i agree ketamin is some of the best prehospital drugs we have in the tool-box.

in denmark we only have morphine IM for CLS, but doctors have fentanyl, ketamin morphine and lidocain.
