Does anybody have...

Any Chinese swords, daggers, whatnot, they could please take a photo of and scan for me please? I am writing an essay for Uni on the use of edged weapons in China.

Regards,

H14

just a foot note to your work,
The Chinese ability to work steel is where the Japanese got it.

I think that the technologies to work ceramics, gathering (mining) clays, ores and minerals, firing clays at high heats etc. is what led to the ability to make steels.

You will note that both cultures are long famous for very sophisticated ceramics work.

The Japanese of course are well known for the some of the highest quality steel making and finishing work for swords, ever.

...I threw a hissy fit, pulled the knife and threatened to stab myself if he didn't do all the silly things that made no sense but I insisted upon. Unfortunately, while pulling the knife out I nicked my finger, which made me bleed and cry.

I stumbled across that interesting bit of info last night. I now know why my Lecturer had a glint in his eye when I suggested the topic. It's fascinating.

OK, I just saw this Razor snipe. Revenge will be painful and exacting. ::intimidating girl spit:: tuh

I am going to learn some new IMT's and then take out my Razor-caused frustrations on the closest hapless XY and THEN you'll regret it!

Huey14,
See? We can even mess up your clear and direct thread.

I just wanted to show everyone what me and my classmate Bart leaned how to do after school, a lot.

Back to knives class.
