Petals Around the Rose

I got this in an email today and thought I'd share. Very cool brain teaser.

Enjoy,
Aric

Very interesting. Took me about a half an hour. It's one of those brain teasers that's feels impenetrable until you figure it out, then it clicks, and it's completely obvious and you wonder why you didn't see it before.

2 minutes - ran 1 test. It was correct, tested the theory and then
confirmed the theory. No clue what a rose has to do with it.

Spent about 8 min getting it, no idea about the rose eather.

If you don't know what a rose has to do with it I doubt that you actually got it.

Basenshukai 02-26-2005 22:19

Took me about 10 seconds. I'm not sure why it was so fast. But, it just leaped at me. I'm chalking it up to luck.

Hmmm - A pattern law can be uniformly applied; there is a rational inverse ;)

You guys and your fast times. Sheesh. That wracked my brain for a while. :)

But then, I did read somewhere about that game that the smarter you are, the longer it seems to take. :D

When I finally got this after maybe 5 tries I cracked up.

Weazle23 02-28-2005 13:22

Got it on my third try in about two minutes. The title helped me.

GhostXIII 03-06-2005 14:18

Yeah, the title did help...took about ten minutes of trying...

TPD1280 03-09-2005 06:24

Figured it out in about 5 minutes. Had to get my kids' math homework out of my brain. Kept trying to apply the pythagorean theorem.
