Weapons video
 
This video shows Russian weapons/vehicles at an exposition. One of the neat things I saw is the anti-sniper device ( scans for scopes and shoots a laser into the scope, blinding the sniper ).

I remember hearing something about a similar product employed during Gulf War I for use against MBT & BMP sights.

Not new, had them back in the 80s. Reason why you avoid scoping eletro-optical devices.
