Frank Brownell Passes
For those who've used Brownell's or - even better - had the delight of stopping through the store in Montezuma, IA - Frank Brownell surely has a place in the hearts of those who tinker with firearms.

Been an online customer of Brownell's for a long time.
Rest in peace. |
The little shop in Montezuma was much fun last time I stopped some years back. Not very wide for a storefront but DEEP. Counters where you could browse the latest catalogs, including all the specialty ones, then order what you want, pay for it, and then move to the left side of the store. There you could watch through glass as real 2-legged humans moved about shelves & bins to locate your item(s), which they brought to you.
Then you inspected it to make sure it was what you wanted & went on your way. If it didn't look like it, you moved back to the right to process a return or swap. Like laying on the floor browsing as a kid and having Christmas morning all at once. |

Great company and people to do business with. TR |
Good staff and selection at the brick and mortar store; visits are always a great experience.
Pete Brownell seems to running a steady ship and is a frequent local community contributor, AFAIK. RIP Frank. |
