WWII Bomb Detonated

Amazingly, they are still finding these things 80 years after the war.

This one looked to be at or a foot or so under the dock surface.

I think the bomb may be an ordinance that was left at the dock. One pic shows the lifting ring on the nose where the fuse should be.

Also, the BOOM seems larger than life. I think the EOD team strapped on more C4 than needed.

Great Yarmouth WW2 bomb blast: What happened?

A World War Two bomb found in the seaside town of Great Yarmouth has detonated while work was being done to defuse it, causing a huge blast that was heard for miles.

All Army and emergency service personnel have been accounted for, Norfolk Police said.

That blast did look pretty big. I was thinking they must have had pretty good bombs then. Strapping on a "tad" more C4 or so was probably the answer... That good 'ol "P" for plenty thing..:lifter
