WSJ, Ukraine: New Tank Crews Needed?
 

The juxtaposition (yes, really) of these 2 column headings is Three Stooges "POI-fect!" Not that the money should stop, by all means raid that piggy bank and that stuff you keep under the mattress.

A recent article I read said that Russia has about 1200 tanks poised to move into Ukraine. A few dozen NATO tanks of any kind are not going to make a difference.

I expect Russia to hit the NATO supplied tanks while they are in transit through Ukraine to their staging areas.

Just as the Germans discovered in WWII with their limited stockpile of state-of-the-art Tiger 2 tanks vs. the inferior yet mass-produced Soviet tanks. Quantity is a quality unto itself.

The Russians sound pretty upset about the prospects of German tanks rolling toward Russia again.

That is true but, if I recall, there were significantly more than 31 Abrams tanks engaged in that conflict, not to mention total air superiority as well.
