The comments by Brig. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe to the Germans demanding surrender in December 1944 comes to mind. "Nuts!"

Unlike 1944, the island in the Black Sea defended by the Ukrainian border guards could be ignored altogether without any tactical loss at all. Whomever the skipper of that Russian ship is he should be shot off the fantail of his own ship. JMHO.
