Moving to Phoenix area
It's been quite a while since I've been on here. The past 4 years I've been wasting away doing my SWC tour....Long story short, I'll be a civilian soon and am moving to Phoenix area, and trying to get networked. I don't do social media, so that route is a no-go.
Anyone out there? |
I'm down south at Fort Huachuca.
Market up there is HOT right now for buying a house though. I've seen people offer $10,000 over asking and still get out bid. |
I’m in Tempe, we’ve gotten more rain this year than in the past 5 years combined. We are running out of water. Housing prices are ridiculous. I recommend Queen Creek area. A good distance from Phoenix proper.
We have an organization called the Arizona Rangers. They were responsible for the audit security, if you’re interested in such. They used to provide motorcycle funeral escorts. |
Phoenix
I appreciate the info. Yeah, already leaning toward Queen Creek/San Tan area. We're looking to buy when the market dumps, prices are insane right now. I'm down with getting involved with anything having to do with community, esp SF

Take it for what it's worth, but if you were to buy a duplex/triplex/quadplex type arrangement, you might be able to profit from the rentals towards affording a larger house. I know people who've made 20 offers, all over asking value, across six months, before finally getting a house. |

Are we in a movie, Escape from [fill-in-the-cesspool]? |
Hey, welcome to the Phoenix area! I moved here a while back and found that getting involved in local meetups and professional groups is a great way to network, especially if you're not into social media. There’s always something going on, from career-focused events to just casual gatherings depending on your interests. I’d recommend checking out community groups or events in your field—I've made a few good connections that way.
