My feelings on it are mixed.

Big tech monopolies MUST be brought to heel.

Warren Buffett bought businesses with defensible moats.

But Big Tech acquire their competitors and acquihire the best talent to build defensible deserts so vast adversaries will never reach them.

That’s inherently unfair and stifles innovation.

But having said that, China’s BATH(Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, Huawei) will run rampant around the world unless we out complete them and win.

And to beat China’s BATH our superplatforms need to have scale.

While Facebook portrays its army of fact-checkers as independent, the money behind at least one carries a distinct taint.

One such fact-checker, Lead Stories, is partly paid through a partnership with TikTok, a social media platform run by a Chinese company that owes its allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). TikTok currently is being probed by U.S. officials as a national security threat.

Yep, saw that about some of their fact checkers being in China. Nope, nothing to see here, move along...
