I had no idea that he was still alive.

Rest in Peace Kookie!

I still remember: "Central, give me my mom at 258."

Don't forget a shavetail Lieutenant Dittman in Darby's Rangers.

WTH were the rest of those 3 or 4 shows all around the time of 77 Sunset Strip? Besides that one, there was "Surfside 6" and one or two others, all of a formula.
Damn brain cells, get your asses back here!

There was a bunch..

Surfside 6
Coronado 9
Burkes Law
Richard Diamond
Perry Mason

We didn't get to watch 24/7, no reruns, no streaming, no record-n-playback. If you didn't have a copy of TV Guide,, you were screwed.

Friday nite it was wrestling, Saturday nite Lorance Walk, Sunday homework :(

I lived in Hyde Park NY, 75miles due North of the Empire State Building, THE #1 East Coast antenna for ABC, CBS, & NCB, so reception was fair to good.

Yeah, there ya go. Perry Mason went for like, ever. And it wasn't one of those flash in the pan series, but the others you mention are what I had in mind.
Jeebers, what a time. I didn't watch every episode of everything either - we were kids and we were too damn free running till dark as long as the homework was done.

Sky King,, 1951-1962

Penny was one of my early squeezes :]

She of the pointy-pokey Cadillac "Dagmar" Bumpers(bra) era

The 1st time I got my hands on one,, I thought it was something from a Valkyria Maiden's Armored Warrior Kit

I didn't recognize the title but I watched the opening and clearly remembered that:
