"In short, it is honoring the pillars of Heathenism, our ancestors and ancient Gods and way of life," the 34-year-old from Madison, Alabama, said in a release. "My personal faith is deeply tied to the modern warrior lifestyle that I have been able to live during my military career."

His polytheistic religion is based on Scandinavian-centric ancient beliefs and practices.

This is part of the evolution from “Be all you can be” to an “Army of one”.

When you make exceptions for one religion and then another you must extend the exception to all religions.

That's why it was a bad decision way back then.

All I can say is that i am SUPREMELY RELIEVED that the Nevada Army Guard's 3665th Ordnance Company is so well protected by such a warrior. Heaven knows that Thor himself wouldn't challenged them now:rolleyes:

I'm guessing that it's not a Chemical Ordnance Co. (Do they even have those anymore?)

The real question is that if having a beard is ok for some based solely on belief (aka personal preference) rather than on an actual safety issue, then why isn't ok for all?
