Time to relook their recruiting and selection process.
 

It is time for NSW to back up and regroup as their selection and assessment processes or not producing what SOF needs.

They did the same thing as all SOF did they expanded...over the last 18 years the lawlessness perception amplified with the operators getting out and seeking money over mission...leaving the military with a more desperate approach to producing bodies....this is the Hollywood generation and these guys want everything Hollywood has promised in their portrayals to include recognition for everything they have and have not done yet say they did.....the command leadership from top to bottom are products of this generation the only proof you need is to look at the products of the culture they have cultivated and the fact that they have been promoted within this culture....Congress and the POTUS is no more immune from the Hollywood portrayals of what we are than anyone else.

The entire SOF community has this same issue everywhere if the same people are the ones selecting the next generation of operators to do the same things is it really a surprise we are deteriorating...the entire process is a self licking ice cream cone...even if command redefined their A&S those executing it will still be looking at candidates with the same lens that got us here...the values of the gatekeepers and the leadership that overrides good cadre decisions is where we are in serious trouble. The only solution is for this war to end the accolades and publicity to scale back into the shadows therefore reducing the incentive for the narcissistic personalities that are wrecking the current era.

They are the same SEALs they have been since Pogue Warrior was in charge of them. The difference is (like everything else these days) that NOW social media and a 24 hour news cycle shines light on dark corners that used to go unnoticed.
