Seattle is Dying

https://komonews.com/news/local/komo...ing-03-21-2019

A better title would be Seattle is Committing Suicide.

And your city is next if you elect a leftist city council (we have an avowed Socialist councilwoman-she's the one getting shouted down by the construction workers), a leftist mayor, who hires a leftist police chief to neuter the police department.

Please watch the entire documentary. This is outstanding work by one of our local news stations that I once not thought them capable of. This should win an Emmy and serve as a call to action.

People outside of Seattle really should watch this. You'll need more than the Maxim-effect level of attention span.

Good article, and tracks with my impressions of a visit.

That is beyond sad.

I have never visited Seattle, looks like that won't change anytime soon. Once I saw the Space Needle I realized how extreme the decline has been, I remember family members raving about Seattle and the Space Needle when I was a wee lad. Present day Seattles images could pass for any Third World shit hole.

It's very disappointing to see the town folk putting up with the socialist city council clowns when they ought to be charging the stage and dragging the stooges to the nearest lamp post.

I visited Seattle, Portland, and the Bay Area on a west coast road trip in 2016 and was astounded at the homeless camps that had sprung up everywhere. My west coast friends, particularly the Seattle one, didn't seem to notice the problem, or perhaps thought their city was Most Benevolent by letting the homeless camp in their town.

But none of Seattle's current practices are humane. To allow people to live with filth, crime, and rampant addictions and mental health issues is shameful. To neuter law enforcement to the point that they can't uphold even the smallest of civility laws is criminal.

I viewed all that human waste and tragedy from my seat in a friend's Tesla. The dual standards of saving the environment while simultaneously rendering it uninhabitable with dirty needles, feces, and criminal behavior were not lost on me.

I hope Seattle is waking up to the disaster it created.

Susan
