Sounds like he was stationed on a Navy Support Ship that was launching SEALs. |
Nope - Mike is a buddy of mine and that little blurb is only a fraction of what can be told as to what he did. he's the real deal and a hell of a guy. Also one funny dude.

Glad to hear it.
It's well known that the quickest way for the SEAL's to get to the scene was to parachute into the water near the surface ships and get brought aboard. But for them to bring along their JAG officer, who also entered the AO via parachute, that's different. I'd like to hear the rest of the story, including whether he was already airborne qualified from his prior assignments or his Navy Academy days, or if he took a quick jump course before the mission. No need for PLF's if it's a water jump:) |
Naw, Blue actually takes care of its folks that way - unlike some of our own units. There's a big practical reason to do things this way - think of the aftermath and a post-op handover to the FBI/DOJ; who is gonna do that? Burn an operator(s) or someone that can do it without burning future viability of an operator ?
Anything going into our justice system will rapidly turn into a shit-show and years and years of litigation. Easier to have the lawyer do it. I've been in some interesting situations but never got to HALO into what this cat did. |
