'Over 10,000 texts' between ex-Mueller team officials found, after discovery of anti-Trump messages
By Jake Gibson | Fox News

Justice Department officials are reading through “over 10,000 texts” between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Fox News has learned, after it emerged Strzok was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe following the discovery of anti-Trump messages between them.
Department of Justice officials told Fox News they are in the process of going through the texts so they can hand them over to the House Intelligence Committee.
Strzok, who was an FBI counterintelligence agent, had worked on the Mueller probe, but was reassigned to the FBI’s human resources department after the discovery of anti-Trump text messages with Page, with whom he was having an affair. Page was briefly on Mueller’s team, but since has returned to the FBI.

The disclosure of those messages revived Republican concerns about the objectivity of Mueller’s probe.

It’s unclear whether a significant number of the 10,000 texts have anything to do with Trump or the probe itself.

Justice Department officials say the process of reading and redacting the texts could take “weeks,” and that the thousands of text messages between Strzok and Page span over “several months.”

The review process comes as the committee also threatens to move forward with a contempt resolution against top DOJ and FBI officials barring an imminent breakthrough — after the agencies did not comply with a deadline to hand over long-sought information that goes well beyond text messages.

Strzok is a focus of their efforts. House investigators have long regarded him as a key figure in the chain of events when the bureau, in 2016, received the infamous anti-Trump "dossier" and launched a counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling in the election that ultimately came to encompass FISA surveillance of a Trump campaign associate.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has sought documents and witnesses from the DOJ and FBI to determine what role, if any, the dossier played in the move to direct the surveillance.

Strzok briefed the committee on Dec. 5, 2016, sources said. But within months of that session House Intelligence Committee investigators were contacted by an informant suggesting that there was “documentary evidence” that Strzok was purportedly obstructing the House probe into the dossier.

Early Saturday afternoon, after Strzok’s texts were cited in published reports by the New York Times and the Washington Post – and Fox News had followed up with inquiries about the department’s refusal to make Strzok available to House investigators – the Justice Department contacted the office of House Speaker Paul

Ryan to establish a date for Strzok’s appearance before House Intelligence Committee staff, along with two other witnesses long sought by the Nunes team.

I can already read the headlines "FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were extremely careless, but committed no crimes nor did they act in any way other than completely unbiased."

It should be very, very clear now just how close we came to losing our constitutional republic:
  • Political use of the IRS
  • Political use of the DoJ, FBI, Intel agencies
  • Use of the media as a political propaganda arm
Not to mention the politicization of the GO corps in the military and marginalization of the legislative branch and politicization of the judicial branch.

All is coming to the light of day and battle lines are drawn. 2018 will be a pivotal year in the battle for the future of our constitutional republic.

This fight ain't over yet. I'm extremely disappointed with Jeff Sessions and the new FBI director. They seem to be falling in step with the deep state. All Sessions seems to be able to focus on is MS 13 and the sanctuary cities.

Only the government would transfer Strozok who is having an affair with a colleague to head up the HR department. :munchin

Yeah, Dean, I'm with ya on that assessment. But, lately I have been trying to see the bigger picture and understand what may be a strategy that is in play. So excuse me while I adjust my tin foil hat. :o

Jeff Sessions is a place holder. Roy Moore wins his former seat. Roy Moore is under siege by the US Senate (McConnell & company), Moore resigns his seat, Sessions agrees to leave DoJ, AL governor appoints Sessions to his old seat. Rudy Giuliani is appointed to AG. Let the games begin! :D

Moore's team discredits his accusers. It's now open season on McConnell and the swamp critters in Congress.

Completely agree. These people have a lot of marbles at risk and, like Klinton, will not stop until the threat is completely eliminated. There are no longer really 2 parties, and what's left has no allegiance to rule of law.

this all looks like a giant cluster fuck - but it could be worse - it could be neat and clean

now for a moment - think of how neat and clean all of this would look if President HRC was in charge
and think about why

I hope that gun grabber doesn’t get anywhere close to the AG job.

How close we came? We're still headed down that same path.

Box 12-11-2017 07:48

I agree 100%
We aren't just 'headed' down that path my friend - we are HURTLING down that path.

but

...if HRC had taken the office, it would be happening behind closed doors. Much of the current media circus is because the left had no choice but to reveal themselves when they launched their attacks on the POTUS.

Does anyone think we would know about the sexual harassment congressional bribery fund if HRC was in office? Would there be any widespread public knowledge of the Uranium-1 scandal if HRC was in office? Would the American people have seen how absolutely full of shit the leftist media REALLY IS. For fuck sake - they deify and memorialize folks by giving them a "Pulitzer Prize" - an award named for the man who gave birth to 'Yellow Journalism' - a man that literally allowed his journalistic propaganda to drag the nation into the Spanish American War. Now, the descendant news media is in bed with the DOJ/FBI in a desperate attempt to drag the nation into chaos again, hiding under the cloak of "First amendment free speech".
...for the ratings

It's upsetting that the current POTUS has transformed the US political landscape into a reality TV show but it is necessary - regular politics was not working for us. Regular politics empowered and glorified the likes of Clinton, Conyers, Frankenstein, McCain, Gibson, Flake, Collins, et al....
If you want to uncover sensationalism in government, you need a sensationalist to make it happen.

I don't trust the DoJ/FBI any further than I can throw my pick-up truck. I have only one expectation if ANY agent of a US law enforcement agency shows up at my house - theyare either delivering bad news or coming to try and take away my freedoms.

These people are not trying to destroy the government - they are trying to transform the government into something more palatable to their preferred level of corruption. What they are seeking to destroy are your individual and collective freedoms.

...that's just my opinion, I could be wrong
