Retired Marine Corps General Jack Bergman, who was there on the field, just said on Fox News live that, " Had the security detail not been there, we would have had two choices; Duck and cover, or grab the bats and try to subdue the shooter."

And Edit to add: REP Jack Bergman is a Republican from Michigan. And he spoke very eloquently for someone that just went though 50+rounds of ammo fired on a damn baseball field at 0700, IMHO.

Now this...it is becoming evident that it is the radical Statist/progressive/commies resorting to violence...

According to that article the source for that was CBS. Earlier this AM a lengthy on-camera interview with a witness (whose demeanor seemed much more knowledgeable than anyone CBS can muster) made a point to describe it as an "AK-47 type" referencing the "distinct profile" they have. We'll see, since round count also varies 400% depending on who you listen to. Witnesses, "witnesses" and... somewhere, the truth.

Methinks the curtain has been fully pulled back, though. The left has already been a-twitter wishing it was POTUS. Another point for The Letter; only abatement was a good guy with a gun.

The ground truth is aptly illustrated by the image below, Many of us suffered through the previous administration and saw through all the rhetoric spewed out by the players mass media, and pollsters.
