SWATTING
noun: the action or practice of making a prank call to emergency services in an attempt to bring about the dispatch of a large number of armed police officers to a particular address.

This dumb a$$h0 called in a SWAT Team to the house of a gamer that he lost to.

He told the 911 operator: "I just shot and killed four people. If any police enter my home I will kill them too."

The other kids father was shot by the SWAT team when they arrived at the house,, because they thought they had an active shooter...

He was convicted, adjudicated and will serve 25-life.

He will probably get off at some point, but he deserves at least the minimum 25yrs...

Do your kids SWAT???

I posted it as a reminder to parents,, I had not heard of swatting..

I just went to see if Paul Horner, the topic of this discussion, is still in jail, or living.

Interestingly the Google returns a few links about Paul Horner, a semi successful "fake news" generator, and a follow up story here stating that the swatting story was a hoax.

I would disagree - "Swatting" is a real thing that has potentially dangerous consequences. Just because there was a false news story about a specific instance does not make "Swatting" any less of a problem, and agree that parents whose children play online games (and adults that play online games themselves) should be aware of it.

I drove smack into the middle of a SWATTING call which, caused one of the SWAT guys to become somewhat irritable.;)

SWAT team called out because of Wake Forest hoax.
