Israel Attacks Iranian Ammo Dump in Syria

Wonder if any Russian arms were present...maybe a few hands, feet, toes, and fingers as well...

Quote:

Reports from the Middle East this morning confirmed an Israeli airstrike near the Damascus airport in Syria. Ynet News' Roi Kais writes that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked an Iranian weapons depot, destroying arms bound for Hezbollah and other Iran-backed terrorist groups:

The Israel Air Force reportedly attacked an Iranian arms depot near the Damascus International Airport early Thursday morning, according to the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar television station.

According to various reports, a series of explosions at fuel tanks and warehouses near the airport rocked eastern Damascus at around 3:20am.

"Cleanup on aisle 5!"
Wonder if any of that was supply-line to the Syrian a/c doing a sleep-over at a Russian base.

Very good! I like it!

I'll never understand why we bend over backwards and automatically support Israel's every move...

frostfire 04-28-2017 15:04

sadly the Syrian conflict serves Israel's interest as it stretches Hezbollah and Iran military campaign thin.

I'd say it's a golden opportunity to wipe out Hezbollah while ISIS is taking bits of it. With so much bad blood between Hezbollah and US IC, no tears will be shed either

I don't think anyone has bent over backwards for that. And, why shouldn't I support Israel? What exactly have they done to us that would warrant me not trusting them? Just curious....

Liberty Survivors Say US Still Downplays Israel's Attack on Ship

"But we still try to make Americans aware of what happened," he added, "for the memory of our shipmates and … and to get a complete and full investigation of all the facts" about the attack.

Transcripts of radio communications between Israeli pilots and their controllers indicate the attackers identified the ship as American yet continued the assault. But U.S. and Israeli officials still claim it was a case of mistaken identity.

“The Israel lobby is giving orders to its paid stooges and traitors, like (US Senator) Lindsey Graham, who care more about Israel than America, telling them to go out and attack Iran,” said Dr. Kevin Barrett, one of America’s best-known critics of the “War on Terror.”

My fault... Hope this all helps and clarify. While I don't love the Iranians I just don't see them as the "evil" our politicians have tried to brand them as. Yes we've had a rough history, but looking at my links will show the same with Israel. Yes I'm aware of Iran's terror history and acts, but they were done by an Islamist regime after 1979. Iran has been through nearly a dozen regime changes in the 20th century, before 1979 we actually got along very well and they never attacked our military like Israel in the Six Day War.

Those links are just a few off the top of my head. When you compare them to the foreign political aid Israel has provided the United States, would you still consider them our "Greatest Ally" as our political chicken hawks try and present them as. After we give them billions for whatever reason...

Let's not forget we may very well enter another Middle Eastern conflict for the sake of Israel interests and NOT U.S.

Thanks for the clarification. I certainly understand your point of view from that perspective. I have always considered Israel an ally based on their willingness to assist us and their lack of fighting against us militarily. As to their spying on us...I certainly don't blame them as I think "any" independent nation will spy on others whether they are friend or foe. We spy on everyone...so I don't get worked up when we are spied on...it's the nature of the beast. We do give them a lot of money, but I can think of a lot worse nations that we do so. When it comes to the ME...Israel is the least of my worries. Again, thanks for the clarification.

Don't mention it, your rational and view of them does make sense.

I just see some things differently.

I follow Iran and their proxies in various realms. They have, and still are calling on the death of America. Your tolerance of Israel's, and USA's, sworn enemy (yes Iran has stated as much several times) is suspect. I don't recall Israel holding 52 American diplomats and citizens hostage for 444 days.

If you think that allies don't "spy" on each other you are foolish.

PRB 04-28-2017 21:57

Israel is 71 miles wide at it's widest point and 15 miles wide at it's narrowest.
How much of an intel mistake can they absorb?
If I'd been in charge the last 8 years in Israel I'd have spied my ass off targeting the US and the Obama admin.....it was hostile in many respects.
Oh, btw, we spy on Israel too....what do you think the Liberty was doing in those waters.....fishing?
Israel and the US have the same enemies in the ME.
It is the only western oriented State in the ME.
It is the only Democracy in the ME and our only real ally.
Articles naming US Senators/Congressmen as 'Israeli Agents' are asinine.

Israel a Democracy? Only if you are Jewish apparently. Unless you are actually Jewish, not one of you so ready to jump for Israel would be allowed to immigrate there or marry a Jewish person in Israel (practicing or not). The evangelists that are so hysterically supportive of Israel would find themselves incarcerated for merely handing out a bible. Bibi himself said that Israel is the Nation State of Jews and no one else.
Find a single other Western country whose leader would not be crucified for stating that and this stance is not criticised by one of the myriad front organizations. Sorry I mean social and cultural organisations" that proliferate in the West. Nor by the dual citizens in the US govt that added their voice to the cacophony of criticism towards DTs "Make America Great Again"

And look what happened to the USS Liberty. Apparently the Israeli jets made a few strafing passes on the lifeboats just for good measure and afterwards a memorial erected to the dead sailors was deemed "Anti-Semitic"? That was long before the O admin right? Some ally.

Israel is also stoking the pot in the ME with sources saying that they are giving wounded ISIS terrorists medical attention. There are powerful groups there (and in the WH now it appears) that believe that breaking up Syria would aid the achievement of EretzYisrael.

http://www.timesofisrael.com/yaalon-...r-israeli-aid/

I've not seen Israel volunteering her soldiers to fight for America the way Americans are so ready to rush to aid Israel. Its easy for Bibi to say that you are friends and allies when it is such a heavily one way bias.

Some dual citizens in office do indeed seem to have a destructive stance against America. Especially considering the fact that they have a 180 degree stance on the same issues when it comes to Israel.

Sorry, nothing against Jews or Israel except the total and utter hypocrisy special rules for them and everyone else gets the standard.
Notice that DT wished to extract America from the morass in the ME. I wonder who engineered that turnaround?

Let me clear up the suspicion and say I have and will always be willing to fight any enemy of the United States, including Iran. That being said I don't favor or support either country, I'm just tired and aware of the double standards with Israel as noted by Roman Candle. If we never put the Shaw in power, the 1979 coupe and hostage crises would have likely never happened. This is where I stand and feel about Iran, I don't think it should warrant suspicion.

The USS Liberty was in international waters. We got involved in the Six Day War for the sake of Israel's defense.

We already know and are aware of the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR attempting to infiltrate and buy off our politicians. Why is it asinine to think AIPAC isn't doing the same with our congressmen/senators for their own personal interests?

Quote:

Because it was Muslim terrorists that did 9/11 not Jewish ones. Do you really think we don't spy on our allies?
Muslim terrorists sponsored by the Saudis, they're the ones we should be going after. I understand we all spy on each other. But don't you think it really says something when our "Greatest Ally" is also on the top of our list?

And please understand and let me reiterate I will always stand with our country no matter what.
