BBC story on the Australian Car attack.
Melbourne car deaths: Four killed as driver strikes pedestrians http://www.bbc.com/news/world-australia-38685972 "Four people, including a young child, have died after a car deliberately hit pedestrians in central Melbourne, police say. At least 29 people were injured, among them a baby who is in a critical condition after the car hit a pram. Police say they rammed the car, shot the driver in the arm and arrested him. They say the incident was not terror-related, but is believed to be linked to a stabbing in the south east of Melbourne early on Friday..... and this from PJ Media https://pjmedia.com/homeland-securit...inglepage=true Which claims at least one witness heard him looking for the snack bar. |
Saw that.
This guy seems to be exhibiting symptoms of mental illness, beyond just his references to Islam. It will be interesting to see if he was externally influenced in person or via social media. In my amateur opinion, Australia has a community of folks you will recognise who possess attitudes that are incongruent with modern western society, particularly in Sydney and surrounds. |
I wonder if its feasible to draw some parallel between mental instability and islamic terrorism...
Best wishes to the victims and their families. |
