Windows Messenger for XP
Any of you guys using this?
|
Yup. I like it.

Messenger
I have used both Windows and MSN Messenger. When I do video conferencing I go with MSN Messenger version 6.2, because both video screens are larger then Windows. We use it quite effectively a couple times a week to talk to the in-laws in Bogotá. If you have a broad band or DSL connection and a decent internet camera and speakers, it’s the next best thing to being there! I might add it's free and you can talk as long as you want.

I just started it and have no real experience with it yet.

I use it and like it.
There is a simple client that comes with Windows, and another MS built one with a few more bells and whistles at: http://messenger.msn.com/ There are clients for other OS' than Windows too. The most popular one, which I use, is GAIM. GAIM can also connect to Jabber, IRC, ICQ, AIM, etc. There is a port available for Windows. A popular multi-protocol IM messenger for Windows is otherwise Trillian, available in free and pro versions, the latter with a price tag. |
