Wannabe SF 18D

I am 33 y/o with 4 children and am a Paramedic student with 10+ years as an EMT-B, ER Tech and Phlebotomist. I would love, nothing more to, at least, try out for SF and earn the right to earn the title of a Special Forces Medic (18D). I have a clean background but I have had several medical diagnoses that could disqualify my from getting clearance. Any insight and advice would be appreciated and taken to heart. I do have a civilian career as an EMT in a busy 911 system (PT). However, I would put all of that on hold for the chance to, at the very least, try out for SF. Thank you all for your time.

AR 40-501

Google search AR (Army Regulation) 40-501, Standards of Medical Fitness. Download and search within the regulation for your various conditions and within the chapter for Airborne / Ranger / Special Forces, see if they are waiverable or disqualifying.
Waivers can be applied for within a limited scope, subject to the Special Warfare Center and School Surgeon's review.

Hope this helps, thank you for your service to your community.

Bad news, unfortunately, for me.

I checked the regulations using google and I would be disqualified for my past conditions, unfortunately. I appreciate the help very much. I also appreciate the thanks very much and am extremely humbled by it. Thank you for your service to our great country and have a great night, Sir.

All the SF gent's are Phlebotomists! ;) I was amazed when our Sr. media told me to assist in giving shots. OK, easy to do and I gave shots. Then learned to give IV's, as an 18B, I know, pretty crazy huh. And as an 18B we didn't "take" blood, unless of course you include "spilling" it........;)
