I get it, but this is an extreme example to me.....combat veteran with multiple deployments vs. a convicted traitor doing time; all on our dime. I would be more inclined to execute the bastard, harvest and sell his organs, and donate the proceeds to the SFC- along with the benefits he should be recieving!! (OK, just an internet rant, but you get the picture):mad:

now about that sex-change-for- convicted-traitors thing; at tax payer expense.....

Looks like he got the magic language: "IN line of duty". Good for him. I cannot fathom the decision-making process that would have initially had him NOT in line of duty.

So long as the determination stands, his needs will at least be taken care of. Sad story though. I know the family and they have certainly paid more than their "fair share" of blood and treasure for this Country.

To play devil's advocate here....having been involved in a NUMBER of LOD investigations as the "medical dude"...

Why is everyone conveniently glossing over the pink elephant in the room....er, rather the "white nosed vs bad teeth due to crack pipe" elephant in the room that he did coke (or some form of it) AND was over limit on blood alcohol?

My old ass always remembered..."Don't smoke weed or drink and drive on your motorcycle because ITS A LINE OF DUTY NO if you scratch your name in the pavement with your face?"

As a hypocrite, I MAY BE inclined to gloss over the ETOH...but the COKE? Not so much:boohoo

And the "they ignored my PTSD" would be a career ender for ANY GP CDR or CSM...so I don't buy it. Especially after all that BS at 10th (in CO) when the clowns up there were caught up in doing crack and riding with 1%'ers, committing all means of mayhem UP TO and INCLUDING FELONY charges; all washed away with the 'Uncle Sam ignored my PTSD" and being let off by "split and disperse" reflex with the clowns. My last 4 deployments i don't think I went between two "reverse SRP stations" without at lease 3 people asking me about "my PTSD":rolleyes:

God love him for what he has accomplished, and for wanting to "Hasslehoff / Baywatch" for the missing girl...but would you want a crackhead with YOU on deployment? Would you CONDONE that behavior from your Delta? Your TS??? Looks like we are helping / supporting a "public and misguided Brother" for the rest of his life now.
