Advice on training

Hello,

I have been reading a lot of the threads already posted on here, and wanted someones opinion with experience in SFAS. I ship out March 20, 2017 and have been training for the past few months. I started with the Thor program it was good, but it focused a lot on lifting I felt like, I completed it. Now I'm using the Selected pdf program for the conditioning mostly, (2 marches a week, 2 distance runs, 1 interval run a week) and I do the lifting from Selected and combined it with NSCA tactical athlete since I do not have sandbags. So really my question is what other prep would you recommend, I'm one that is all about preparation as early as possible. I have the Get Selected book, but I was waiting till closer to my ship date to start it.

Some of my numbers,
2 mile run 13 min (thats on a good run)
sit up 80
push up 73
6 mile ruck 1:23
5 mile run 37 min

You will not make it

You will not make it - you will fail.

You say you have been reading here a bunch but you joined this month and failed to place your first post in the correct thread.

You did not put SFAS in the search function and read all the threads that came up. If you did that you would have plenty of information on what worked for some and what didn't.

You're looking for the easy way through.

There is no easy day in SF training. Just when you think it's an easy day and slack off you can step on your crank and get bounced.

Just like Pete said.... You will not make it. Attention to detail is key to an SF soldiers life and you do not have it.....

:boohoo

My best numbers:
2 mile run 9:48
sit ups 100
push ups 100
12 mile ruck (45 lbs, full LBE w/basic load, M16) 1:56
8 mile run 42 min

Not only can you not follow instructions you need much more focused PT.

I posted under this thread because I saw some similar threads about training under the SFAS thread column. I'm sorry if I have offended you in anyway, but no sir I will not fail, that's not the kind of person I am. I was just looking for some advice, and I will continue working on PT I see that needs more focus.

Thanks

Post # 2 and still not following instructions.

You don't offend us. We only shake out heads at people who can't follow simple instructions.

Enjoy your new handle.

Emergency responder?

I'd be skeptical of any treatment I received from this guy if he is truthful about his resume ....
