A new weapon platform?

My first thought while viewing this video linking video production location to possibility...

I'm sure it could be. I wonder if they would show up on RADAR?? They're pretty small.

One could most likely use this...for good...or bad...Fly up to a plane and breach it....or blow it up?? Who know's

Upgrading delivery from trucks to wings, in no time at all!!

I think these are useful, but not in a weapons context.

120mpg is just about stall speed for most modern aircraft. Much easier to use a MANPADS, like the FIM-92 Stinger.

I think the stinger has a 23K ceiling and 1200mph speed???, giving it lots of flexibility.

I don't know, low level interception would be the best use of such a platform, whats take off speed for a jet, 150-200 MPH. 2-300 ALT and everybody dies.

I checked the A380 and its stall speed is 140, so I'm guessing it needs 150 or better to lift.

I suspect that when the filming was going on the A380 tracked left/right and inside banked turns to maintain stability,, but not altitude..

These guys have to jump out of an aircraft, so they can't launch from the ground like a MANPAD. The nefarious weapons system potential for these powered wings, and the un-powered wing suits, is as an air launched precision ground attack munition on sites with large, contained crowds like stadiums without roofs. However, I think they will lose most of the good flyers during practice.

This thread conjures up the old " Mig Hunter" poster. I hope those jet pack boys don't run into any of them ;)

Just need a JATO to get up to speed

That's how we shot down the Me262's in WWII- Waited until they went in to land, came in from behind and lit them up.
