Perhaps they should take comfort from the example of George W. Bush; at this point in his presidency things looked pretty bleak, too. Between the surge in Iraq and hard work building bridges with allies, Bush had some positive foreign policy momentum going by the time he left office. It's not a place on Mount Rushmore, but it's better than the alternative. Mr. Obama must now hope he can accomplish as much.

Let me paraphrase

We hope that tomorrow our president, while grunting out a turd, will forcibly dislodge the clot that was blocking the oxygen to his brain and suddenly our president will transform into a competent, vital leader.

....and maybe I'll win the lottery

....even though I didn't buy a ticket

All of that is assuming Dear Leader is just incompetent.

I'm of the mind set this is exactly where he wants us to be.

Rog - I am no longer referring to it/him as "the administration"; it is now an ongoing criminal enterprise.

He is now referred to as; "Dear Leader".
