Social Security judges rubber stamp claims

Amid complaints about lengthy waits for Social Security benefits, congressional investigators say nearly 200 administrative judges have been rubber-stamping claims, approving billions of dollars in defense payments from the cash-strapped program.

Can't say that this suprises me. It's too easy to get as far as I'm concerned. I know a number of people who are all drawing SSDI and everyone of them could probably still be working.

Yep...I know many of them that are drawing that have never worked, much less still be working.

I've had Pt. Wanting me to certify them for SSI. First I don't do disability medicine. Second, I told him no. He was in a wheelchair. His mouth, brain, and arms still worked, so I counseled him about being a helpless victim and to keep fighting. This was NM so it was a losing battle on my part. Too many feel entitled to others money.

Do you have to be a lawyer to be an administrative judge?

If you want to get angry, go hang out at a local criminal docket and count the number of criminals that claim to disabled.
