Syrian insurgents acquire TOW missiles
http://www.janes.com/article/36499/s...e-tow-missiles Last summer I think it was CNN or USA Today had reported on Free Syrian Army (Syrian rebels) had received heavy weapons including anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles from a "friendly" nation that support the Syrian revolution. Well I guess USA Today was right about one of the heavy weapons. |

Weighing nearly 80kg (175lbs) without a thermal sight, the M220 series is comparatively heavy, which limits its actual tactical utility as an insurgent weapon.
If I'm not mistaken, all of our TOW systems are vehicle mounted or at least vehicle transported. I was also curious as to who trained the users and where they were trained. I think I know though. ;) |

Guess they will be mounting them on some of those free trucks that they were given. It is amazing what you can mount on a Hilux/land rover when you need to.
