The Cardinals and radio wave propogation theory

Interesting story about how KMOX's range made the Cardinals a baseball favorite in a huge swath of the midwest.

Interesting story, thanks.

I hope the late evening 'fade' in the low HF bands for the last few nights isn't correlated to the Cards' recent play. Dangit!

Great article, Craig! I fowarded the link to my younger brothers. I spent every summer on my grandparents farm in Newport, Ark. until I graduated from HS. An integral part of the summer was listening to the Cards on KMOX. I still have the white plastic tube Zenith tabletop that they used then. When we returned to Biloxi, MS at summer's end, we'd still listen to the Cards on 1120 until season end.

That John Grisham book, " A Painted House" was made into a movie. In a couple of scenes, the family is gathered around a radio listening to the Cardinals on KMOX.
