Gentlemen,


I came across a M1C Paratrooper helmet at a local gun show, and would like to know the story behind its former owner. I basically want to make sure it wasn't stolen from the veteran or his family and any help would be appreciated.

His name is/was Leland W. Potter Jr and he was with HHD 1st SF BN 7th SFG.

If you know or knew him, I've had no luck in finding contact info. If you don't feel comfortable with giving me the info, I would greatly appreciate if you could contact him and have him contact me.

*edit* I forgot to mention that this helmet is late 60's or early 70's.
