Doolittle Raiders to meet for final reunion
It's sad to see these men, and those like them, become fewer and fewer every year.
This country owes these men a dept of gratitude that I don't think can ever be repaid. Blue skies and fair winds Gentlemen. Quote:

It wont be long before their all gone. This final "public" reunion should garnish all the honors this country could muster but don't count on it.
Glad they're able to call the final shot and go out on their terms....:lifter |
True heroes.

There are some guys who truly epitomize, "Ok, now we're gonna do it without the net."

When I was a young officer at Fort Ord in the late 80's I had the honor of hearing him speak. Truly inspiring.
|
A toast: To the Final Five...and those that went before them. Thank you Gentlemen, we shall remember.

Purely beautiful.
A successful mission, brothers in arms sharing the ultimate trust. I will drink with you, Thank you gentlemen, and blue skies. Amalek |

Just read something online that said the one member who is 97 years old just recently piloted a B-25 bomber.
Awesome. My hat's off to all of those brave men. |
They just ran a spot about them on FOX news.
I sincerely hope these men get the recognition they deserve at their last reunion. |

Thank you, gentlemen! m&c |
Thank You Gentlemen

We've all been to reunions with special SF friends....what a great feeling, all of a sudden you're, for awhile, back in time and living those great and not so great times.
I'd like to see those guys together, watch their eye's light up and the years fall away. Regular guys that did great things when great things needed doing. What an epitaph. |
