PS.Com Moderator & Special Forces soldier WIA...
Members of this forum-
There are men fighting the good fight, and those men remain in harm's way. Two weeks ago this reality was brought to the forefront of our on-line family and it commanded our undivided attention. Longtime moderator and 18D Surgicalcric (aka "Crip"), while attached to an ODA from 7th SFG(A), stepped on an IED during a dismounted patrol and was severely wounded. We have now had the tremendous fortune to hear from him and he is recovering. His recovery will be long and arduous, but barring unforeseen happenings - he will recover. For those of you who pray, please offer them to Crip. Whether you pray or not, each member here should take a moment to realize that between the politics, the Kardashians, Jersey Shore, and whatever gripe you have about the fat lady at Wal-Mart...there are still men in a far away land standing shoulder to shoulder with their Brother's in Arms. They deserve a moment of our time. That is all. |
Praying for you SurgicalCric!

Thanks for the heads up QP Eagle5US.
QP Surgicalcric, Prayers out, I hope and pray that you have a complete and speedy recovery. Thank you for your service and commitment to protecting the rights and liberties that we as a nation enjoy, even when many in this country do not appreciate it (or worse); I certainly appreciate it. On a side note, I hope you have internet access from wherever you may be convalescing, so that we can hear from you a bit more often :) v/r BOfH |
Damn that sucks. Best wishes to a speedy recovery Surgicalcric. Thank you for your service.

Surgicalcric, I will hold you near in my thoughts and prayers.
If there is anything that I can do to offer support, please let me know. |

I was stunned when I heard the news and even more shocked to know this was his second event in a few weeks.
Thanks to those here at PS.com for providing information on his condition. I was fortunate to train and work with J during our train up for Iraq. J, even though we are in different AO's, I'm thinking about ya man. Prayers out... |
Prayers out for a speedy and complete recovery!

Brother Crip,
Prayers out... Take care bro, Guy |
Surgicalcric, you've helped me out more than you can imagine as a mentor in my quest to become a SF soldier.
I wish you a speedy recovery! |
Stay strong Crip we are all pulling for you!
Keeping you and all the brother warriors in my prayers. |
Surgicalcric--
You will be in my thoughts and my prayers. May your recovery be speedy. |
As Eagle5US has stated, Surgicalcric was severely wounded while on duty in Afghanistan. We are in contact with him and he has written us. His wounds will take months of surgery and maybe years to heal.
You are in our thoughts brother, we wish you a speedy recovery. If there's anything you need just say the word. Team Sergeant |
Get well soon, hermano.
Healing is priority number one for now. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. TR |
