Black Daggers parachute team considering Lumberton airport for home site
http://fayobserver.com/articles/2012...6?sac=fo.local " LUMBERTON - The Black Daggers, the U.S. Army Special Operations Command Parachute Demonstration Team, is looking for a new home and could land in Lumberton. The team had a demonstration and practice jump at Lumberton Regional Airport on Tuesday but is looking at any airport within a 50-mile radius of Fort Bragg to expand the team's capabilities......................." The Lumberton Airport is easy to get to - south side of Lumberton just off I-95. Couple of places to chow down at that exit but most of the good places are a bit more north. |
The GK's moved down to Laurinburg around 2006??? IIRC. I guess no one likes competing for Raeford? When the GK's left there, the MFF teams took over. We were jumping like crazy there before I retired.
Where did the Black Daggers used to train? |
