Yup, I had to re-read the URL thnking it might have been written by the guys at the Duffleblog.......

We (as in the overall CF) have set the conditions for things like this to happen.

How can we accomplish our real job, which is still to kill or capture the facilitators and commanders of terrorist networks, with such leashes around or necks? Our own limitations are ruining the effectiveness of our capabilities.

Good point, and I agree -- that is the ultimate answer to the problem. I should have caveated that by saying I was referring to what my specific job was.

Saying that allowing the bad guys to plant a bomb without doing anything because it wakes up the locals is just plain stupid as well as counter productive.
